Sketch of a coming badge commission for Fight Bite of her pit bull anthro, named the same. I've never drawn a pit before, used one of the many references that came up through google image search. I know there's alot of pit bull art going around, and I'd like to state that this badge is strictly commission subject only and does not promote dog fights or the negative stereotype labeled on pit bulls
I do not have Fight Bite's e-mail address, only her phone number. I will call her after work tomorrow to get her e-mail, but by chance if any of you know her, please direct her to this sketch or if possible forward her e-mail to me. ^___^;
Possibly @____@ I don't have her real name or e-mail, tried to google "Fight Bite" but turned up non-relevant topics. I'm unsure if it's her though because she doesn't seem to have this character drawn in her DA gallery.
Yessir, this is my fursona actually. :3 I used to go by Grimmorph online for a good 8 or so years, then recently had some major life-changing events push me to change my fursona drastically. Don't have many pictures of her up in my gallery (One in scraps, if you check) because I've not been drawing as much since the change.
Also, I don't promote dog fighting either, to be honest. The name FightBite is actually a kind of nod to CSI and general forensics, a fight bite is the wound you get from punching someone in the mouth and the resulting infected mess from having human bacteria in the wound. I've always been pretty wary that people might misinterpret it (it's happened a few times), but I figure the people that really matter will understand. I own an American Pit Bull Terrier, and she kind of means the world to me. She's the biggest dork I know and has more personality in her than half the people I know.
ANYWAY, ON TO THE SKETCH. This is absolutely gorgeous, I'm so pleased with how well you got down the boxy pit bull muzzle, especially since you've never drawn a pit bull before. The design on this is wonderful and you definetely have my 100% approval.
I didn't recognize you when you came to the table because I remember your grimmorph name.
Yeah, I wasn't trying to make it seem like you support the pit bull stereotype but I wanted to just state it for those who might start a flame war XD I've had an experience with subject matter a few times.
I get the same crazy look from my mom when I tell her I want to own a doberman of which she thinks they are all vicious. :\
Great! Glad this first sketch suits your tastes, so I'll begin coloring and try to get this shipped out to you on Saturday.
